The 18th International Conference on Computer Science and
Information Technology (ICCSIT 2025) was successfully
concluded in Paris, France, from October 27 to 29. Sponsored
by University of Haute-Alsace, France, the hybrid event
convened a global community of researchers, industry
experts, and academics to explore groundbreaking
advancements and address pressing challenges at the
intersection of computing, AI, and their transformative
applications.
Under the leadership of Conference Chairs Prof. Smain Femmam
(University of Haute-Alsace, France) and Prof. Malleswara
Talla (McGill University, Canada), the conference featured a
rich program anchored by thought-provoking keynote speeches.
Prof. Samson Lasaulce (Khalifa University, UAE) delved into
the synergy between Large Language Models and optimization,
while Prof. Stefano Secci (CNAM Paris, France) traced the
evolution of resource allocation in networked systems. Prof.
Samia Nefti-Meziani (University of Birmingham, UK) presented
the ambitious EPSRC Manufacturing Research Hub RESCn-M2,
aiming to revolutionize circular manufacturing through
robotics and AI.
The intellectual discourse continued through a series of
invited speeches and parallel sessions, both onsite and
online. Attendees engaged with cutting-edge research across
diverse domains. Highlights included discussions on
automated heuristic design for electric vehicle routing
using genetic programming, secure medical image transmission
via chaotic encryption and autoencoders, and novel
approaches to LLM pruning for efficiency. The conference
also showcased significant work in applied AI, featuring
presentations on AI-driven diagnostic frameworks,
optimization of next-generation Wi-Fi networks with machine
learning, and ethical considerations in healthcare
automation.
By seamlessly blending onsite interactions in the historic
city of Paris with a robust virtual component via Zoom,
ICCSIT 2025 effectively facilitated international
collaboration. The conference underscored the pivotal role
of interdisciplinary research in harnessing computer science
and artificial intelligence to drive sustainable development
and innovation across academic, industrial, and societal
spheres, setting the stage for future discoveries and
collaborations in the field.
